GA1:

The main issues to be debated in the committee is Armament in the Arctic Region, and the Impact of Military and Security Companies’ involvement in conflicts in the Sahel region.

These two topics have a very important effect in increasing conflict all over the world, as well as both potentially in the Arctic, and concretely in Africa’s Sahel.

They remain unresolved, and so this is a great opportunity for further development of solutions at the very least.

The Arctic Region is known for being an international zone. However, there are some very secret foundations such as the Svalbard Seed Storage - one of the most securitised places in the world.

The Sahel is divided amongst several countries in conflict and its natural resources attract the keen attention of outside players, eager to exploit them.

Besides this competition for valuable natural resources, militarisation creates terrible tensions between any concept of safe zones and the sovereignty claims of bordering states.

Some degree of armament may be necessary in order to prevent further dangers from growing, or even prohibit invasion by an occupying state.

In short, as threats of aggression are significant for these regions, the\ issues should be debated responsibly and a solution proposed by the committee delegates.

GA3

The main issues to be debated in the committee are: Forced Labour and Child Workers and the Impact of Colonial-Era Borders on ethnic and cultural tensions.

Both issues are very topical and common all over the world, as they haven’t been solved for decades. African and Middle-Eastern countries are particularly concerned.

However, they haven’t chosen to be poor and undeveloped, but are sadly known for suffering under these issues. In a lack of clear improvement, it’s much more important to think and debate these issues today, considering exploiters as well as the exploited.

Secondly, ethnic and cultural conflicts have always raised tensions throughout the entire world. They are based on a lack of tolerance.

We all share a common creator and planet, so, good luck with debating these important issues.

GA6

The main issue to be debated in this committee is the need for new measures regarding security conditions for representatives during diplomatic missions, as well as new measures for facing territorial occupation in their violation of international law.

These issues both have specific importances however, with a common perspective that links them - namely, the necessity for new thinking and approaches in order to solve both problems, as meetings between leaders don’t seem to pay off with effective proposals.

Over the years, many representatives have been attacked or even killed during missions by individuals or some groups. So, these types of missions don’t seem secure enough.

As a result, people get scared away and then thi,s work can’t be done anymore.

For some governments, this could be good news, but when it is time to talk for humanity, then it’s a political disaster.

The job seems really underrated, but actually, its importance has changed.

So the second issue concerns governments who don’t respect international law.

As a result, despite huge amounts of debt, governments may still think that they’re the richest

ICJ

For our 2026 conference, we have an interesting case presented to the International Court of Justice: that of Kohler (Iran) vs. Paris (France). As with cases concerning the conflict between Israel and Gaza, it seems as if our judges will face demanding challenges once again. Our wish from them is to respect universal rights and to determine guilt or innocence promptly. Good luck with this challenging job.

UNSC

The main issue to be debated in the council is the question of Kashmir. his refers to the problems between India and Pakistan concerning the Kashmir region. Both taket hem very seriously, claiming all the region to be entirely within their borders.

This conflict creates a major territorial dispute. So, it won’t be easy to resolve the problems.

Secondly, we have the situation in Haiti to debate.

Think about a country, or at least a piece of land where you have few effective laws to obey, few to rule the people and few to provide security for the population.There’s nothing but the lack of a real government in Haiti today.

Both issues are crucial.

Our wish is to see them solved after the council’s sessions.
